So, I decided a few days away from the convention that I am going to Otakon. It's the last year of OtaRockman and one of my favorite artists has Coelacanth and Shovel Knight prints for sale this year. Somehow, that warrants spending the money to go. XD Yep, great logic there!
Unless prices go down or there is some guest that I am heads over heels for, this will be my last year attending. Besides seeing fellow fans and buying art, I have no real way of justifying the high costs. For a convention so close to home, it should be cheaper and easier to attend than any other convention. But, it isn't. The registration, parking, hotels, lines, etc aren't worth it anymore. I am planning to attend Anime Boston next year instead. With good planning, I'll spend about the same, but with the benefit of flying to another state. I love flying and travelling so much!
My cosplay this year will be the Troupple Alcolyte. I figured the more people I tell, the more motivation I'll have pulling it off in a few days. See ya at the con.

Still Around From Time to Time
Thank you all for still supporting my work, sending llamas and commenting. It has not gone unnoticed. I still post my work online, but don't post here much due to a change in my creative thought process. I have been expressing myself by trying various crafts and mediums over the last year, expanding my knowledge and learning what kind of things I am both good and not-so-good at. Lately, the highlights have been figure painting sewing and watercolors. Both bring me much enjoyment, but usually doesn't conclude in a polished piece to post here. No Tigercon this Year
This year, I won't be tabling at Tigercon's artist alley. I registered much later than I usually do and received a notice that 35 other artists and I did not make it. For that many artists to NOT make it into an already quite large, college campus convention, means that it's growing! I'm happy to hear that since it's in my home town, but sad that I won't be tabling. However, I will be there to support the other artists and the con. *rubs her hands together* Commisssionnnns...

Yea Im checking out cons in the Pittsburgh area this year *going to the comic con in September to start the list* and see how those fair. It is pricey as hell to go. And I dont even have a table this year to not only help with the costs but I can claim the room and badge at the very least on my tax return.
